Jason greeted the reader with a silent stare, it was unclear what the slasherโs intentions were.
That was for the reader to figure out, if they so chose to approach.

As the dust (and wood) settled from the destroyed door, Jason saw an unfamiliar site. He was expecting an injured survivor, not his new friend enjoying herself.
He stabbed the machete he held into the doorframe and approached the woman on the couch, wondering how he could help.

After listening to the usual bickering between the killers between trials, he was finally selected to wreck havoc amongst the survivors once again.
He set his sights on a survivor, and as he was about to throw the wrench he got, the familiar face stood before him and stopped-

And the next trial was coming up, as she was soon sent into it once she was hanging at the campfire for 20 minutes. She was walking around when she saw his shadow. Waving at him as she ran up towards him. "Big guy! Nice to see you again." She saw the Rose he kept.

Jason was having high hopes for that maybe. Until then, it was back to the usual.
The rose would stay in his pocket until the next time they meet. He figured it would be nice to hold onto and return. As for the toolbox he found a wrench to use in the next trial, how handy.

She shocked the behemoth? That's a first for anyone right? She's just that much better then most other women in these trials, she got hatch and surprised him. They'll meet again, maybe next trial together. Maybe this time she won't leave him at all.
