This beautiful little cat I’ve named Smoky is so timid and every day I’ve been attempting to build up a bit of trust with him. Slowly he’s coming up to me but I’m letting him doing it at his own pace. Tonight he’s decided to sleep here. All the other cats have given me their trust now so hoping one day he will too 🙏

Really struggling with the osteoarthritis in my knee right now. The knee that overcompensated for years after my other knee endured years of surgery and rehabilitation after an RTA. Now the so called good knee is in more pain than the bad one. Saw a chiropractor last month who recommended having Hyaluronic Acid injections which apparently is a game changer but is not yet offered in the UK. Emailed a hospital yesterday and the doctor replied this morning and offered me a very quick appointment. It will cost me 150 euros for the consultation and treatment. Well worth it if it gives me pain relief for up to a year that Naproxen does not. Thing is my UK consultant knows my knee is literally bone on bone and wants me to wait another 3-5 years before offering a replacement. This was a private doctor after waiting years for the NHS. When I finally did see an NHS consultant he said the same. They would rather people spent years in agony than actually make their lives easier. I don’t blame them. I blame the system and I blame the government. So will be seeing the Cyprus consultant shortly and will post about this new treatment and if it works will definitely recommend it.
