The other night I was invited out for a night with the "girls." I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, "I promise!" Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easily. Around 3 a.m., a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hallway started up and cuckooed 3 times. Quickly, realising my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution, in order to escape a possible conflict with him. (Even when totally smashed... 3 cuckoos plus 9 cuckoos totals 12 cuckoos = MIDNIGHT!) The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, I told him "MIDNIGHT"... he didn't seem pissed off in the least. Whew, I got away with that one! Then he said "We need a new cuckoo clock." When I asked him why, he said, "Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times, then said "oh shit" Cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another three times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the coffee table and farted.

Saw the Chelsea ladies play the Arsenal ladies yesterday. Today, watching a bit of the Lyon ladies vs Wolfsburg ladies game. I usually never say much good about Chelsea, but the Chelsea ladies were a class apart. I think equalled/bettered only by the Barca ladies. #UWCL

As humanity, we surely make way more noise than any people who came before us. But it’s our silences that speak the most.

A Japanese company gets permission to restart its factory in Maharashtra. Days later, it donates to PMCARES Fund. The Quint investigated this. Not rumour. Reported fact. Same pattern as Electoral Bonds: Pay → Get favour → No questions asked. But this time it’s worse: → No CAG audit allowed (Supreme Court, Aug 2020) → Delhi HC gave PMCARES “RTI privacy protection” (Jan 2026) → MPs CANNOT raise questions about it in Parliament (Feb 2026) Electoral Bonds at least had a name. PM CARES has zero accountability. They put the national emblem on it. They tell courts it’s not a public authority. So whose money is it? And who exactly is it “caring” for?

India is set to construct the world’s longest bridge spanning the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. The proposed highway will originate from Chennai and extend all the way to Bangkok. This ambitious infrastructure project will enable travelers to reach the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Thailand via land routes. Man-made floating islands will be developed near the main islands to accommodate travelers en route. In addition, travelers will have the option of taking a cruise from India or on their return journey. More details awaited.
