Just got back from #aahhe2022, my first in person conference in TWO years! @AdrianHuertaPhD and I presented on a paper I’m very excited about. Enjoyed seeing some @USCPullias and @USCRossier folks and meeting so many others!

When her little sister (my aunt) made varsity sports, my mom purchased her jacket. When I made varsity sports, she bought me mine. My fam hugged, laughed and cried together. It was beautiful ❤️ pic of my mom, my aunt and myself all together coming soon! 🥰

In HS, my mom ran varsity CC but my grandparents didn’t have the means to buy her a jacket. As the oldest daughter, she took on many responsibilities at a young age. She eventually left high school to get a job and help with finances/bills.

IG saw it first but.. starting my week with some great energy ❤️‍🔥Yesterday, I gifted my mom her really late Xmas present. My little sister picked the font & did a great job of keeping this a secret since Nov. She also helped me find my moms letters 🔍

Now that I’m done with finals, I can come back on this birdie app — Excited to finally see that this paper (and my first publication) is out 🤩
