came to shift perspectives and challenge norms. My passion for hip hop’s culture and debating politics drives me to question and confront mainstream narratives

@stanademikstv Drake says, "Talking about me liking young girls is a gift from me." Kenrick responds okay and repeats it. Then Drake comes back and says, "Wait, I didn't mean it. I’ll sue." 😂😂 Drake fans, oh yes. That's cool, Drake. Sue.

Calling Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers a flop is simply wrong. It debuted with approximately 296K first-week units ; one of the biggest releases of 2022 and set the record for the highest first-day streaming numbers of that year. It also won Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards. Additionally, Kendrick Lamar headlined one of the highest-grossing hip-hop tours ever with The Big Steppers Tour, which Drake later surpassed. That’s not a flop; that’s both critical and commercial success. 😂
Badnis@coolmike00

@94Represent Mr morale flopped big time, released 2022 not on the charts… no one streaming … that wasn’t a stadium tour by the way…half stadium 🥀, Kanye is what a stadium tour is.. fill up the whole stadium… don’t perform on one side … tour didnt sellout and SZA played a major role

🇮🇷 Iranian Jews gathered in a synagogue to honor Ayatollah Khamenei, with local officials present. Iran has roughly 9,000 Jewish citizens, the largest Jewish population in the Middle East outside of Israel. They have a reserved seat in parliament and are officially recognized by the state. Most people don't know this exists. It complicates the narrative on both sides. Source: @Geopolitic91021

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The Iran war just showed up in Americans' wallets... March CPI came in at 3.3% annually, the highest in two years. Gas prices surged 21.2% in a single month, the biggest one-month spike since 1967. The national average hit $4.15/gallon. Wages rose 0.2%. Inflation took 0.6%. Americans are working the same hours and bringing home less purchasing power than they were 30 days ago. April's numbers aren't out yet. But the war hasn't ended, oil hasn't cooled, and supply chains don't heal overnight. The squeeze is going to get worse before it gets better. Source: NBC News

The rap game is SO BORING since Kendrick left that even normal things like him going to Disney Land is going VIRAL cuz the charts are EMPTY without Kendrick dropping music! His visit to Disney land is SAVING RAP! Only ONE rapper can single-handedly save the eNtIRe gEnRe!

@Wayno119 If hip hop relied on only one artist, then the genre would have to die. Drake never stopped dropping. He’s always been in our face.

This point really would have landed harder if it was genuine. Instead of making everything about Kendrick & Drake you would have realized the key word is CRIMINAL cases. This is a victory for all artists. Next time you play gotcha, play it the right way.
Scru🇳🇬@scrufacejean

This a HUGE W for the culture. If you was celebratin, championin or defendin a nigga suing over rap lyrics in a battle STAY OVER THERE. Standom really got niggas out here rootin for a nigga who is actively tryin to limit freedom of speech & artist expression. Cant make this up.

The impact of this war will not only affect the global economy but also cause famine in multiple countries. Most fertilizer comes from the Middle East, and this conflict has severely affected many farmers. The consequences could be even worse than COVID-19. What excuses will supporters offer? Everything is becoming more expensive, and wages are not keeping up with inflation. People who supported this president are quiet.

@ZmbabweH @mark818874 @iamstillpunch Just listen to music n Shutup. It’s not TDEs job to save every artist in the world. If they ain’t charting then that’s a them problem🤷🏽‍♂️ Tons of great albums dropped over the past 2 years.

Hip hop is in a strong position right now. You might not be actively seeking it, but it's thriving. Labels aren't investing in music like they used to, which is a shame. TDE's dominance in hip hop is due to their artist development—great music is abundant, and quality always finds its audience. Billboard rankings aren't the true measure of greatness.

@mark818874 @iBeStriking @iamstillpunch I don’t give a damn about a beef that was orchestrated by men in suits . I’m talking about the culture of hip hop and it not being the top genre and this goes back to hip hop gate keepers letting everyone be hip hop artists with no talent.

🏆 Forbes ranked Kendrick Lamar #155 on their Self-Made 250 list — and said it plainly: “The Grammy and Pulitzer winner’s family was homeless for a time and relied on food stamps before he broke big.” From Section 8 housing in Compton to the Forbes list. No shortcuts. No inheritance. Just him!

@ZmbabweH @iamstillpunch What's wrong with hip hop? Last year saw some outstanding albums. Kendrick was in the top 10, proving his dominance. When it comes to singles, Drake released Nokia and What Did I Miss, both notable hits. Kendrick's Luther topped charts at number one and broke records.

@mark818874 @iamstillpunch Belt to what because he hasn’t offended me by a long shot the conversation needs to be had about the state of hip hop over all . So to reply “ so what “ to someone raising the question about no hip hop song being in the top ten is tone deaf .
