There are no words to express my grief and shock at the passing of Matt Gotha last night. Matt was my chief of staff for four years and always went out of his way to help people. He was like a member of my family and we all loved him. Prayers and condolences to his family.

So sad to hear the passing of Kristin Jacobs. I had the opportunity to work with her on a variety of issues. She was a true professional, great advocate and someone who cared about making this world a better place to live. Condolences to her family.

Just Learned that a cruise ship owned by Carnival tried to come to our Port without telling Broward County that they had sick passengers on board. Thanks to BSO for finding out !!

Solution to the Cruise Ship situation - Let the ship come to Broward County - the passengers go onto a bus and they are taken to Homestead Air Force Base in Miami-Dade County to be quarantined. This may be a win-win for both sides.

We need to issue a Stay at Home Order. I will be putting an agenda item for my Commissioners at our next meeting!!!

"DON'T TOUCH" is our new message for the public. From gas stations to food stores - don't touch the gas pump; credit card key pads, etc. Use paper napkins- tissue or paper towels to touch everything.

So very sad about the passing of Justin Flippen. A great guy and public servant who cared about his community. He will be missed. RIP.

I promise my residents living in NW Pompano that they will get all $10M of the Residential District Fundng money spent to improve that area. Not on the Eastside. $$$ can be used for home repair, painting, demolition, landscape, possibly job training.
