Man Accused of Recording 11-Year-Old in Bathroom. A Ohio man now faces multiple charges after a grand jury looked into claims he recorded a young boy inside a public restroom at a popular mall. Joshua Yanowitz, 33, of Beachwood, has been indicted by the Lake County grand jury. The incident happened on December 30, 2025, at the Great Lakes Mall in Mentor. A father called 911 after he thought he saw Yanowitz holding a phone up while his 11-year-old son used the urinal in the men’s restroom near the food court. Mentor police responded right away, confronted Yanowitz in the mall, and questioned him on the spot. Body camera footage from the officers shows them asking about the phone and his actions. Yanowitz reportedly made admissions during that talk, including comments about having his phone out often and possibly having images of kids, police said.
