So long story short. I'm sure many of my Purdue friends hate him. But I guarantee there's not a tougher, meaner coach that will do more to win than May. So get used to it. He'll dominate as long as he's here. Born fuckin winner.

The guy started at a small school. Did everything he could to get a door open to the next level. Worked his ass off. But he remembers where he came from. Still proud of it no doubt. Congrats @CoachDustyMay .

We had a pretty damn good coach to that recognized a gym rat. Coach Mark Barnhizer....yes that one. Dusty was his pet. As he should've been. He devoured every bit of knowledge that was taught. Thats obvious. But he's probably one of the most competitive men you'll see ever

I feel a little different about Dusty May than most big ten fans. I went to high school at EG with him. 4 years younger. Got to run a couple open gyms and practiced my freshman year to start with him. Was different then. He was a leader then. Is now. Had a fire in him.

I asked Ben Humrichous - a former NAIA player who just competed in the Final Four - if he has an appreciation for that unlikely journey. I was moved by his answer. "When the buzzer sounded all I wanted to say was praise God - for the gift that this was... By God's grace... It's unlikely... God's sovereign hand being that in that... He did so many incredible things... God's grace just supplied what I need." @BHumrichous
