I think the stat that HBO execs will focus on the most is that views increased through the season. This is not usual. It means that the show grew by word-of-mouth recommendations .. the holy grail of TV execs.

It's hard to disagree, the funniest thing is that the series break the legs of his own lore, because the old Jaehaerys was the son of Alyssa Velaryon, Corlys' great-aunt, and since HOTD made the Velaryons a black family, the old man has no traits that indicate he is mixed-race.

I'm sorry, but this is the most ridiculous shit ever. Race swapping the Velaryons has killed all immersion in House of the Dragon. Westeros and old Valyria were never written as diverse melting pots. GRRM gave them clear ethnic logic. Black Velaryons break the whole bastardy plot, Targaryen intermarriage history, and internal world consistency. You destroyed that world when you chose tokenism over story telling and now your show will bomb.
