Ontarians are being told the “the Get it Done Act” will save them money from license plate renewals, driver’s license fees, tolls on highways that don’t even have tolls, and carbon taxes.
This is not what the bill is about.
It’s really about Sprawl 2.0 and giving huge gifts to developers like the De Gasparis family.
By weakening Ontario’s environmental protection rules, the Conservatives are looking to ram through huge infrastructure projects like Highway 413 and the Bradford Bypass without proper study, and open up huge swaths of rural land to sprawling development.
We fought them before on the Greenbelt and urban boundary expansion and won. And we will do it again.
