It isn’t easy. There are moments when raising the familiar guard feels safer, especially in our most vulnerable states. It’s worth remembering what’s possible when we lower the shield, allow ourselves to be seen, & recognize the quiet strength that lives inside our vulnerability.

Real transformation happens when you come to believe, fully and without reservation, that your value is not contingent on how others receive you, but is inherent in your being. With that belief comes the courage to meet the world as you truly are, regardless of the risk.

Our most authentic self is also our most vulnerable. We fear that rejection of who we truly are will confirm our deepest fear: that we are not enough. So we offer the world a safer, inauthentic version, one whose rejection hurts less, because it was never really us anyway.

One beautiful thing about the Bible is that there is always a verse that relates to your current situation🥹.

I’m growing to realize I don’t wanna be anywhere God isn’t. I can’t afford to make the same mistakes I use to. I can’t afford to react the way I use to. I can’t afford to keep straying away from God like I use to. Nothing is worth not being where God is.
