Dear SSBM Community, I would like to apologize for my misconduct over the course of the past 3 years. I have nothing but regret for my decision to leverage my platform irresponsibly by targeting another community member. 6 months ago, I made the miserable decision to revisit the subject matter which originally got me banned. This resulted in me being permanently banned from the community I grew up in. I personally believe this punishment is excessive. For one, I am remorseful for my actions and I’ve grown from them. In particular, the action which taught me the most about myself was my decision to issue an insincere apology in 2022. This made me realize how selfish and immature I really was back then. I would like to turn a new leaf and redeem myself. After everything I did for Melee throughout my life, I can’t afford for things to end on this note. I want to go back to my roots by being an innovator and an inspiration to people, as those are the roles I was meant to play. I urge the scene’s leadership to reconsider the current ruling. I’ve suffered tremendously over the course of the past 6 months. The stress of losing my career has been more than enough to knock some sense into me and force me to own up to my wrongdoings. I should also mention the need for amnesty in my situation. I truly gave Melee my all, having founded a company that’s dedicated to it back when I was 24 years old. Nowadays, seeing all the B0XX players out there makes me feel incredibly passionate about remaining around. I can’t undo the damage I did to the community. However, I know that I can make it up to people tenfold. As to show the community that I want to contribute, I have 2 important videos planned. These videos will mark a critical turning point for the community, as they’ll help resolve controller legality-related decisions. I hope that these videos prove that I’m only here to contribute from here on out. I want nothing more than to rejoin the community as a reformed version of myself. I would like to apologize once again for my misconduct. At the same time, I’d like to assure people that I’ve learned, and that I’m only here to do good things going forward. -Hax
