A would-be author trapped inside his own creation. I observe, and occasionally comment wittily. But I can't change anything. Under the Never

So think about who actually passes all checks: no dev tools installed, hasn't opened Terminal in over 30 days, and is now pasting something copied from a web browser. Apple doesn't need to analyze the command when the behavior is suspicious.

But the warning doesn't fire for everyone. There are 5 checks that ALL must pass: 1. Copied from a listed browser, email, or chat app 2. Mac was set up more than 24 hours ago 3. You are NOT a developer 4. You have not opened Terminal in the last 30 days 5. You have not clicked "Paste Anyway" before

In macOS Tahoe 26.4 Apple added a new security feature to Terminal that warns users of potentially malicious pastes with a "Possible malware, Paste blocked" prompt. Here how it actually works 🧵

Therefore, it *may* be possible to say that any skein that has what appears to be Turing completeness can, at least in theory, simulate any intelligible entity on any layer below it (although useful speed is not guaranteed). 'What appears to be' may be the kicker here.

I’m distressed about the UK update to iOS. I’m registered as severely sight impaired, as such I CANNOT get a drivers license, and I don’t OWN a credit The fact that my Passport, a government issued form of ID is not accepted is discriminatory. Sort it out, @AppleSupport

I've so far avoided dramatics because I would be accused of bias. To be clear: this is the worst energy crisis of our lifetimes, well beyond what any sober mind could have envisioned, with no end in sight. The level of complacency to me is astounding.

Pop-Tart claims their “Super Stuffed” has 50% more filling…? 1990s Classic (box of 24): 43.5 oz total → 1.82 oz per tart Super Stuffed (box of 5): 10.9 oz total → 2.18 oz per tart That’s only 16.5% heavier per tart from 1990s pop tart to this marketing disaster. Filling is ~15% of a Pop-Tart’s weight. Even if every bit of added weight was pure filling — no extra crust, no extra frosting — the real number is closer to 30–40% more

The plot devices of both No Time To Die and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning are lifted near verbatim from Metal Gear Solid. It's happening. The credit just isn't being given because it's a "lesser" medium.
