Confession: I'm a dumb bitch What happened was I read on twitter dot com that nicotine when not smoked is actually an amazing nootropic that helps your concentration with no negative side effect. ...aaaaand after avoiding smoking for my entire adult life I'm now addicted to zyns. The don't even feel good anymore. I'm just popping them for no reason until I feel vaguely nauseous.

Yeah ppl don’t know how insidiously evil those little pouches are. The worst thing is…they kind of give you negative aura. Nobody is cool cuz they use zyn.
For me for about a year I would say I kept the use responsible and it was GREAT…a good run. Maybe there are those who keep the use responsible forever.
But at some point I upped my dose, started using more often. And came a time where I put a pouch into my mouth and felt nothing at all.
It just became a monkey on my back.
Sorry. I’m usually not a lame drug not even once kind of person. Just…posting through it atm…

I had quit smoking 15 years ago. Somone told me pouches give you an energy burst one day while I was tired and without caffeine access. A year later I am a junky for nicotine. Pouch in my mouth almost every waking moment. Got hooked within days, energy boost disappeared in weeks, and now im hopelessly hooked to something I don't enjoy.

Somewhat worrying the CEO of the company that sells compute has been going around for the last month saying things like
"You should be spending almost as much on compute as on salaries"
and
"Everyone should use openclaw - the AI tool that inefficiently forces you to use 8x more compute than you intended."
"Trillion-dollar megacorp CEO hard-shills open source token-usage-multiplier to retail" is definitely one of those things I can see myself looking back on like "yah that was a pretty obvious top signal man"

Everything else can be worked around, with buying r*ddit accounts, having multiple email providers (transactional + marketing on separate domains), getting an ad agency to run the ads.

it's crazy though:
- had to threaten legal action to get on ios app store
- sottaku reddit account banned for over a year
- sottaku tiktok account currently banned
- amazon not letting us send emails
- meta ads simply not going through
the internet economy feels so broken

@notafbihoneypot I really dislike how much of what i though is a "standard linux distro" is just systemd Like systemctl or journalctl It has so many components packaged into one, that alot of assumptions (like when self-hosting or in tutorials) just don't apply when systemd is not present.

Every time a FOSS alternative came up, all I'm thinking is if it's anything like Photoshop and Gimp, I'd rather just pay or not to the thing
But Blender, Inkscape, LibreOffice, and so many others are actually good software worth using.

I feel validated that people hate GIMP now. Like 10 years ago in the 2010s everybody would recommend it like it's the best software ever, but when I tried it I found the UI insanely shit & confusing to work with. I quickly went back to paint .net and I still use it to this day.

Games are designed to be played, you might as well be saying you can enjoy a song without hearing it or appreciate a painting without seeing it. You are committing a basic error in which the component parts of a game are "the art part" when in reality the game itself is the art.

I remember watching multiple interview where producers and directors have said a lot of movies are starting to overly explain what’s happening in a scene now, because of how stupid the general audience is.
And he is 100% right.
