The Pentagon is lying. Netanyahu's gamble has directly cost America $100b so far, four times what is claimed. Indirect costs for U.S. taxpayers are FAR higher. Monthly bill for each American household is $500 and rising fast. Israel First always means America Last.

The historic 1953 mission of the Nissho Maru—owned by Idemitsu Kosan—to transport Iranian oil to Japan stands as a testament to the long-standing friendship between the two countries. This legacy continues to hold great significance.

Very fruitful visit to Pakistan, whose good offices and brotherly efforts to bring back peace to our region we very much value. Shared Iran's position concerning workable framework to permanently end the war on Iran. Have yet to see if the U.S. is truly serious about diplomacy.

The failure of Israel's terrorist killings is reflected in how Iran's state institutions continue to act with unity, purpose, and discipline. The battlefield and diplomacy are fully coordinated fronts in the same war. Iranians are all united, more than ever before.

Blockading Iranian ports is an act of war and thus a violation of the ceasefire. Striking a commercial vessel and taking its crew hostage is an even greater violation. Iran knows how to neutralize restrictions, how to defend its interests, and how to resist bullying.

“I am the man, I suffered, I was there.” —Walt Whitman IRAN stands resolute in the face of the brutality and barbarism of its enemies. An IRANIAN brave nurse rescues IRANIAN infants while the entire hospital is under attack by #USraeli aggressors. This is Iran’s enduring civilizational trait: resistance and resilience—a quality that has kept this great civilization standing tall throughout history, despite all hardships.

In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of ceasefire, on the coordinated route as already announced by Ports and Maritime Organisation of the Islamic Rep. of Iran.

In intensive talks at highest level in 47 years, Iran engaged with U.S in good faith to end war. But when just inches away from "Islamabad MoU", we encountered maximalism, shifting goalposts, and blockade. Zero lessons earned Good will begets good will. Enmity begets enmity.

Want to know why negotiations did not succeed? JD Vance: "they have chosen not to accept our terms." Bingo. No negotiations – at least with Iran – will succeed based on "our/your terms." The US must learn: you can't dictate terms to Iran. It's not too late to learn. Yet.

While U.S. authorities accuse Iran of lacking “good faith” and engaging in “extortion,” elements within the U.S. policy and media space are outright recommending the assassination of Iranian negotiators in the event that negotiations fail. Is this not, in effect, a policy discourse that normalizes extortion through the threat or public incitement of terror, violence, and manslaughter? This express public incitement for state terrorism must be denounced by all.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dr Kamal Kharazi, former Foreign Minister of Iran whose untimely death came from the wounds inflicted by Zionist terrorist attacks. I first came to know Dr Kharazi during his years as Iran’s envoy to the United Nations in New York, and our friendship carried through his distinguished tenure as Foreign Minister. He was a man of rare learning and genuine warmth: always thoughtful, always gracious. The world has lost an exceptional diplomat and I have lost a dear friend. My heartfelt condolences to his family and to the people of Iran. His passing is a reminder of the terrible cost of this conflict. This war must end. ANWAR IBRAHIM Photo: Awani

The Iran–U.S. Ceasefire terms are clear and explicit: the U.S. must choose—ceasefire or continued war via Israel. It cannot have both. The world sees the massacres in Lebanon. The ball is in the U.S. court, and the world is watching whether it will act on its commitments.
