@akelahall @smithsmm @mrHunTlpool @A_mcgeeney I think it has to be 3 times a year with one usually a written report - there’s guidance somewhere for sure. I would insist on SLT sitting with you and have clear plan with them when they are to take over. If they won’t, I’d contact your union for advice.

@oldandrewuk @kerryleelondon Yes. I’m a Head:we have a statement of practice for what to do and go through it each year. It’s not just about a major incident (e.g terrorism) it’s for any event where need the kids in e.g dog on playground! 2 schs I know had to lockdown recently: silly not to know what to do.

Leaders, if you ask someone if you can ‘have a quick chat at the end of the day’ at least have the decency to tell them what it’s about. It will save a lot of wasted worry.
