The #PowerRangersPreservationProject Presents Forever Red: Cole Meets Alpha 7! Celebrating #PowerRangersDay with this restored deleted scene from Season 10’s epic Red Ranger Reunion, painstakingly built from scratch by the talented Kadam’s Edits from the recovered raw dailies by PR Media Info. Presumably cut for time, this scene took place on the Megaship Mark II between taking off from NASADA and Tommy’s team briefing in the war room. Andros leads the other Red Rangers of Earth down the hall — TJ feeling right at home aboard the familiar ship; Jason stoically impressed; Eric stoked in front of Wes; Carter in awed silence; and finally Cole, taking in the experience with childlike innocence. Getting lost staring into space, the Blazing Lion is interrupted by Alpha 7 — originally properly introduced in this scene as a walking database of everything Power Rangers. Having grown up in the jungle and never seen a robot before, Cole reacts to the automaton with wonder. We teased this footage years ago before launching the Preservation Project, and we’re proud to finally present this lost scene as it was intended — complete with music and sound, special effects, and a very special feature by Campbell Cooley as Alpha 7! Campbell voiced Alpha 6 in Once a Ranger [Operation Overdrive’s Season 15 Anniversary Special], going on to voice Snide [Dino Charge], Cosmo Royale [Ninja Steel], Scrozzle [Beast Morphers], and Slyther [Dino Fury]. Alternate Robo Rita Concept Art in celebration of the #PowerRangers Once & Always 3rd Anniversary. The MMPR 30th Anniversary Special resurrected the Empress of Evil in a new robotic form, the design of which ultimately leaned into a more cybernetic and modern angle. Early design exploration for Robo Rita’s mask — rendered March 14, 2022 — took a more medieval-inspired, solid bronze faceplate approach. Still featuring Rita’s trademark rage of course, this slightly darker twist on the design features a solid face plate, glowing red eyes, and cutaneous horns on Rita’s cheeks. “May the Power protect you.” Zordon’s screen-worn white cowl-neck base layer, as seen on Zayto inside the Morphin Grid. Featured in the final episode of Cosmic Fury — and the entire Power Rangers series — this small piece of “Zayto’s” costume is also part of the only piece of Zordon wardrobe ever filmed for Power Rangers. Previously in the series, the only other version of Zordon seen outside of his familiar floating head is Zyuranger footage of Master Sage Barza. The mysterious figure appeared to Aiyon in a white void presumed to be the Grid, taking Zayto’s familiar form to communicate with his Rafkonian brother. It’s only as he sends Aiyon’s consciousness back to Earth that he says his iconic line, cueing to the audience that they’ve just seen Zordon for the first time since his sacrifice at the conclusion of Countdown to Destruction [1998]. The top, worn by Russell Curry, is labeled ‘Zayto Hero’ and some markings and wear from production remain. Powered by Patreon Supporters like Cole Hrusovsky. Become a Museum Sponsor at the 🔗 in bio. Production-Made Patches for Karone’s Astro Megaship Flight Jumpsuit. 🟣 ⚡️ Made exclusively for Karone [Melody Perkins], these patches mirrored the Rangers’ flight suit patches. The triangular patch normally reflects Ranger color, while the horizontal row of squares is typically multi-colored. In Karone’s case, both were made purple to match her purple undersuit and communicator. This costume was briefly worn by Karone once she deflected to the side of good after learning Andros was her long-lost brother, and that she’d been kidnapped as a child by Darkonda. Karone returned to the Astro Megaship with Andros, dressing down as Astronema and changing into the utility jumpsuit these were featured on. The costume was only worn briefly, as Karone later dressed back up as Astronema to infiltrate the Dark Fortress; where she was subdued and reprogrammed by Dark Specter’s forces. The #PowerRangersPreservationProject Presents Power Rangers: Careers in TV & Film — The Visual Effects Team! VFX Director Brian Longbotham takes us behind the scenes of creating the special effects on Power Rangers; in his words: a lot of computers, buttons, talent, and art. Brian and his team are in the middle of shooting one of the illustrated storybook background environments, allowing it to be composited into pre-shot footage featuring Tommy, Kimberly, Rocky, and Grumble the Elf. The storybook forest is being filmed by an overhead camera controlled by VFX Artist Rick Cortes via computer. Meanwhile, Rick Shick animates an earlier drawing of one of the woodland creatures — a woodpecker. 🐦 Digitization & Archival by @PR_Media_Info. Welcome the Ninja Nexus Prism Hero Prop to the Morphin Museum. The massive sentient shuriken stands 4 feet / 1.2 meters tall with a pearlescent finish, making it the largest single piece prop in our archives. The spokes of the Prism consist of two large slabs sandwiched together with a plexiglass center, mounted and fused to the hollow circular core. The core is sealed on either side, indicating that a smaller, separate surface plate with a cut-out in the center was used for Prism close-ups that allowed performers to seemingly reach inside it. The Ninja Nexus Prism was forged by the Morphin Masters millions of years ago and sent out into the universe to help fight evil. The Prism coated itself in Ninja Steel, eventually crash-landing in Dane Romero’s backyard on Earth. Dane unlocked and ultimately destroyed the Ninja Nexus Star in order to prevent Galvanax from accessing its power, and the separate broken pieces formed into the six Ninja Power Stars that gave the Ninja Steel Rangers their powers. The Prism acts as a conduit with the Morphin Grid, sharing visions and forging Power Stars that gave the Rangers access to new artillery. Three years after the Ninja Steel Rangers completed their mission and the Prism flew back out into the universe, it returned to Earth to locate Dino Fury Gold and was ‘read’ by Zayto in the process; revealing the Morphin Masters’ hidden history of creating Ranger powers. And to an incredible titular score by Dino Fury Composer @BertSelen [Stream the Dino Fury + Cosmic Fury Soundtracks Now]! Would you want to see the Ninja Nexus Prism and more from our archives on display at @PowerMorphicon? Let them know! 🚨 Celebrating 20 Years of SPD: The Screen-Used A-Squad Pink Hero Helmet 🚨 Featured in seven episodes of SPD, this hero helmet combines the original Astro Pink Helmet from Power Rangers in Space with a back component featuring the SPD logo and the badge insignia on the forehead. The bottom opening of the helmet is lined in pink leather, as was common with Hero Ranger Helmets. A-Squad Pink has been dubbed ‘Rachel’ by fans, and is portrayed in her civilian form by legendary Power Rangers stunt actor Motoko Nagano Sakamoto; married to another legend, producer and stunt choreographer extraordinaire Koichi Sakamoto. Meet her this June at her first ever appearance attending Robo Toy Fest! This helmet was saved by our preservation efforts along with the rest of her surviving hero costume at November’s Heritage Auction. We plan to properly document the full costume in the near future. #MorphinMuseum Exhibit 0830 ⚡️ Series: #PowerRangers SPD Episode: Beginnings Year: 2005

PLEX Design Sketch for Zen-Aku / Duke Org Rouki [Gao Silver]. This Gaoranger reference was provided to the creative team at Power Rangers via style guides for concepting and development for Wild Force. The sketches feature hand-written notations, with versions of each sheet run through Google Translate included for visibility [though they have inaccuracies]. The main body sheet is initialized by designer Yoshiro Harada. Zen-Aku was a Duke Org who had originally been trapped within a Wolf Mask. When Merrick found and wore the mask to defeat Master Org and save Animaria, he became cursed — sharing himself as a vessel for Zen-Aku until the curse was broken, Merrick became good again, and Zen-Aku himself became pure. The Duke Org was last seen setting off with Merrick to roam the Earth together. Powered by Patreon Supporters like SJ. Become a Museum Sponsor at the 🔗 in bio. Mega Morph Cycle Star, Rev Up! Screen-Used Mega Morph Cycle Ninja Power Star Prop. The Mega Morph Cycle and its Ninja Power Star were exclusive to Power Rangers, designed to be slightly larger and styled differently than the Power Stars adapted directly from Ninninger. The Power Star is made up of two components — the circular core, and the outer rim of the star and its four points. The rim slots into the grooves on either side of the core, rotating 45° to lock into place. This Ninja Power Star was created by Calvin and Mick with the help of the Ninja Nexus Prism, which transformed Calvin’s newly built bike into the Mega Morph Cycle. When summoned, an enlarged version of the Mega Morph Power Star appeared on the front fairing of the bike. While first utilized by Calvin, Mick would make a set of Mega Morph Cycle Ninja Power Stars to be utilized across the full Ranger team. Powered by Patreon Supporters like @aresef at @Rangercast. Abandoned Concept Sketches for Time Force Chrono Suits. The Power Rangers in-series application of these designs is unconfirmed; but in the source Sentai, the Chrono Suits were worn by the Timerangers as the undersuits they had to transform into in order to henshin. Given how closely elements of Timeranger were adapted for Time Force, it’s reasonable to assume these designs would’ve served as the Time Force team’s own Chrono Suits to prep for their morph. The Timeranger-inspired designs were ultimately scrapped in favor of a simple, glowing white full-body suit that the team wears during their morph sequence while activating their Chrono Morphers — before being wrapped in their Ranger suits. Large Embroidered NASADA Patch featuring the Space Shuttle that would ultimately dock with the Astro Megaship and form the head of the Astro Megazord. These large patches [10 ⅝” x 5 ¼”] were sewn to the back of the lab coats worn by flight controllers and personnel at the NASADA Space Center. They were most prominently visible during the scene in the hallway outside Mission Control, where they appeared on blue and yellow lab coats of the scientists flanking Commander Norquist as he stopped the guards from escorting Justin off the premises. Having finally been soundly defeated by Divatox and her army, the powerless Rangers needed a way to get to Eltar to try and help save Zordon. Justin hatched a plan to get the rest of his team aboard the space shuttle by sneaking into Mission Control — ultimately succeeding in hitching them a ride off-planet while Justin decided to stay behind with his dad in Angel Grove. The space shuttle featured is of course from Sentai’s Megaranger, designated by the envelope / M-symbol alongside its body. The usage of footage from the current Sentai — a year ahead of Power Rangers — was practically unheard of at the time. Powered by Patreon Supporters like Cole Hrusovsky. The #PowerRangersPreservationProject Presents Ancient Awakening: The Network Cut Part I! This episodic breakdown compares the original submitted Network Cut featuring Natasha Allas as Princess Shayla to the final episode as aired. The Network Cut is unpolished in that it’s meant to give execs a feel for the episode prior to adding post-production elements like VFX, music, and ADR. Besides the obvious difference in Princess Shayla actresses, the Network Cut also features some different character blocking — losing Cole reading the Ranger Rule Book up in a tree in favor of vine wrangling with Max, while Danny gardened and Taylor read. The second scene shows a clear example of network notes in action; early Taylor’s hard attitude is softened to make the character softer and more approachable, tamping down the aggressiveness of her line delivery in the Network Cut.
