Unexpected side effect of Trump’s mugshot being released is that I now have a pretty comprehensive list of which friends: 1. Think fat bodies are disgusting. 2. Think that being fat is worth more derision than trying to overthrow the government.

@ChuckTingle A lot of the tactics I use are essentially trying to interrupt it with some kind of positive stimulus. It could be a smell, a taste, touching something soft/cold/etc. Try out different things when it’s not an emergency, to see what helps you relax. You want something very easy.

@sesmith @xoxoLaurenKiley We do this with our kid. We’re not under any illusion that it means we understand how hard farm work is, it’s just one of the only ways that farms are accessible to us in an urban area. We have a small garden, the variety and sense of scale help explain where food comes from.
