Published in Newspaper at #Dharwad in #Karnataka State in #India wherein, I was invited to be the Judge at Hackathon in a #CyberSecurity event hosted by "Agamya Cyber Tech". That dude with eye glasses is "Me" (Second one from the right of yours) ;-) #Testing

@amyjokim Sorry to hear the passing of your dad. He seems to have entertained/enlighten so many in his circle and beyond. Memories stay forever. Please accept my condolences.

My Dad (92) passed this morning, after a long, eventful life - 4 marriages, 6 kids, 12 grandkids, & a wide circle of people he impacted thru business & philanthropy. The sibling group chat is lighting up with stories, memories & REALLY BAD dad jokes 🤣🥹 Love is timeless ❤️

After 18 years at Microsoft, with roughly a decade of that time working on TypeScript, I have unfortunately been let go in the latest round of layoffs. I need to take a few days to process before I start looking for work. Thanks to everyone who's been part of my journey so far.

@manicode Stock market is an eco system. One company goes down there is always one behind to take its place. Even in a crash, buy the right stocks not the cheapest

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but: replacing crap Ethernet cables can make a profound difference in bandwidth.

@neil_killick These are pain in the back. You spill every time you drink from it or when shutting the cap no matter how environmentally friendly they seem to be. There is design flaw. Changing design resulted in hiking the price of drinks

@MaritvanDijk77 After shoulder operation, my physio gave few exercises to do. as I got better, he added more. Each exercise done 5-10 times. As things improved, I increased the number of times for each but at a slower rate with gaps in between. Applying that experience do 10k at a slower rate

Runner friends, if I can somewhat comfortably "run" 5k, what should I focus on next? Getting faster? Running 10k? Something else? And why?

@MrDavidLowe You have to be very patient with writing. You do them in chunks. Have you taken help from AI that is very much talked about? I completed mine 47 years ago. How time fly? Which is your line of research and which University you are attached to?

It was just rearranging the words I'd already decided to write into the order I wanted them. So that means I'll spend around 800 hours just rearranging words... for the first draft.

I am loving writing my doctoral thesis but I thought I'd share how time-consuming it is. This morning I spent 90 mins crafting 113 words. That’s 1.25 words per minute.

@tottinge In some businesses, they can only Schedule release to users if they know when each of the changes would be available. They sometimes have to synchronise with what else is going on in other parts of their business. It is not when users are ready for the change

Instead of "when will this be done," ask "when can people start using this?" They're not the same question. You can create a feature in one big-bang (waterfall-style) or you can create it in a number of "value drops" and collect feedback along the way.

I can't work out what to do with my Twitter account. Testing community is kinda dead here, which is sad. Was once it's home. Software Engineering appears to be quite strong here still though. And it's great for breaking news, sport. But it feels a shell of what it once was :(

Oh, Twitter has a bookmark thingy. When did that happen? I just like things I want to re-read later (and then forget).

This is the chili pepper aisle in the grocery store down the road from my house in Illinois, US. I miss having spicy chili peppers available to me. I am not finding a good supplier in the UK.

@astridclaessen @MaritvanDijk77 My daughter is a Remote worker. She keeps an oil heater that is on all day. The office is small so thermostat does a good job keeping the temperature nice and warm. She does keep a hot bottle when temp gets low in winter. Door is shut that helps keep bills low

@mpkhosla @MaritvanDijk77 I'm self-employed, so when I work from home I'm responsible for my own heat. Most offices my hands don't get cold as temp is around 19 degrees celcius. My office at home is generally not heated, so I only turn on airco heating when seated there.
