@MarkCherrington wow that neighbour SUCKS. I saw this occasionally covering City Hall. People who call bylaw (or threaten lawsuits?!) because they're apparently unable to cope with the sound of children playing. Or the sight of a basketball hoop or a hockey net on the street.

Helping an old client of mine, a great mom raising three boys, who’s being sued for $75,000 by a neighbour over soccer balls going into a yard. No damage. No broken windows. She has a lawyer (likely connected to the other side). Anyone know an affordable civil lawyer who can shut this down?

Pipeline volumes normally ease a bit in the spring as refineries and producers perform maintenance — but that pattern is not holding this year, said Trans Mountain CEO Mark Maki: “We would expect it to come off some. In fact, it’s closer to full." financialpost.com/commodities/en… #OOTT #com

The agreements would see LNG Canada lead construction of the expansion as “execution manager” while TC Energy-backed Coastal GasLink would take on a technical support role — a move apparently intended to transfer more of the construction and cost overrun risk to the LNG facility’s owners. An update on LNG Canada Phase 2: Looks like Coastal GasLink (built and still partly owned by TC Energy) has nailed down commercial contracts for an expansion that would supply LNG Canada Phase 2. The Shell-led LNG facility expansion is still awaiting an FID. $TRP.TO

AB Premier Danielle Smith pitches Canadian oil and gas as at CERAWeek: “You’ve probably heard we want to build a million barrel a day pipeline to the West Coast. But there are also proponents who would like to build about two and a half million barrels per day of additional egress to the United States,” Smith said. She also said she's been having conversations about "a more direct route" for natural gas to the U.S. Gulf Coast. 👀financialpost.com/commodities/en… #oott #com

...and because I know some ppl will never read past the headline: The piece is not saying TC Energy is jumping back into the PRGT pipeline linked to Ksi Lisims LNG — just that the CEO said the company would consider it... probably very, very carefully. As one analyst put it to me: “There’s a lot of scar tissue there, and among investors as well." ⬇️ financialpost.com/commodities/en… $TRP.TO

Scoop : TC Energy’s CEO says the company may be open to re-entering a major B.C. LNG pipeline project it sold just two years ago. A war-triggered energy supply shock could be rapidly changing the outlook for the proposed new LNG terminal. “There is a need for them to partner with somebody, and my view is that the odds of that project getting permitted are getting better by the day." financialpost.com/commodities/en… $TRP.TO #LNG

A war-triggered energy supply shock may be rapidly changing the outlook for a proposed new LNG terminal in B.C. “There is a need for them to partner with somebody, and my view is that the odds of that project getting permitted are getting better by the day, given the overall tone in the marketplace.” financialpost.com/commodities/en… $TRP.TO #LNG #Cdnpoli

A large tanker carrying Canadian propane was resold to new buyers at least five times before it even reached its destination after leaving the B.C. coast last month — a sign of the scramble for fuel in Asia caused by the war in the Middle East. While Canadian propane cargoes are occasionally resold while in transit, multiple trades of a single shipment are highly unusual, according to a source familiar with the market. financialpost.com/commodities/en… #oott #LPG #cdnpoli

“It’s not just that prices are up; there’s also an incredible amount of volatility... The value of that cargo is yo-yoing as it’s on the water and that creates opportunities and opportunistic trades as it’s making its way to its ultimate destination.” A tanker carrying Canadian propane traded at least five times before it even reached its destination after leaving the B.C. coast last month: financialpost.com/commodities/en… #oott #LPG #cdnpoli

But more worrying than the disruption to trade routes is the potential for a “calamitous” loss of physical oil supply in the coming weeks. The market has yet to feel the full impact of the disruption because tankers that left the region before the closure are still arriving at their destinations, says @Rory_Johnston “What this is, is a physical scramble for barrels,” he said. Asian refineries could find themselves “within a week or two, desperately short of crude.” financialpost.com/news/the-bids-… #oott #cdnpoli

The global supply shock from the Hormuz closure is rippling through Canada’s economy — jamming grain exports, pushing up fuel prices, chemical inputs and shipping costs: “None of our traders at the coast want to take product in Vancouver to export because they’re not confident when they would be able to ship it to India or China,” one grain broker said. “They don’t want to be stuck holding inventory, uncertain about when they can send it and what it’s going to cost them, so they’ve backed off their bids. The bids basically just dried right up.” financialpost.com/news/the-bids-…

South Bow still has its Canadian permits for KXL and may be looking to U.S. to partner to help de-risk a new pipeline: "The permits are still valid on the Canadian side and a lot of the construction has taken place,” De Silva said. “They are looking for another entity to take on that risk on the U.S. side of the border because there’s more work to be done there. And certainly, I think, reading the tea leaves of the current state of geopolitics, that you might have greater likelihood of a presidential permit being issued if that request comes from from an American entity.” financialpost.com/commodities/en… $sobo.to #oott #com #cdnpoli

Asked Friday about Bridger’s filing that suggested that the cross-border pipeline would still require a U.S. presidential permit, South Bow’s CEO said: “We’re in a position where our permits are in place in Canada for the Prairie Connector and we’re working close with the Canadian Energy Regulator to manage through that... We’re only going to talk to our component of a project which is delivering service from Hardisty to the border... There’s a lot of things going into the commercial dialog right now… and I’ll leave our partners to speak to their own business.”

Prairie Connector will use existing infrastructure and Canadian federal permits that are believed to have been originally issued for the cancelled Keystone XL project. Wirzba’s remarks indirectly confirmed details the Financial Post reported last month: financialpost.com/commodities/en…

South Bow confirms it is in the “early stages” of gauging customer interest in capacity on a cross-border pipeline linking Alberta’s Hardisty oil terminal to U.S. oil markets in Oklahoma and along the Gulf Coast — a project it is dubbing the “Prairie Connector." financialpost.com/commodities/en… $SOBO.TO #oott #com #cdnpoli
