Samaritan’s Purse Is Responding to Deadly Earthquakes in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Just one week ago, a series of powerful earthquakes struck the southern Philippines—destroying homes, toppling buildings, and leaving countless families without safe shelter. Ongoing aftershocks continue to rattle communities, deepening fear and uncertainty for those already affected.
Members of the Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) are on the ground, working alongside local churches to bring urgent relief in Jesus’ Name.
So far, we have:
➡️ Distributed food packs to over 989 families, helping them meet their immediate needs in the aftermath of the disaster.
➡️ Provided shelter kits to more than 400 households, giving families the materials they need to begin repairing or rebuilding their homes.
In the coming days, our teams will continue serving by distributing hundreds more shelter kits to families whose homes were damaged or destroyed, along with hygiene kits to help prevent the spread of illness in crowded evacuation areas. We are also assessing additional needs to support families as they begin their long road to recovery.
