To top it, I will also debate with my friend Dr. Andy Artz the same question but for younger older pts with multiple comorbidities. We extremely excited and honored for our study on the impact of social determinants of health on mortality and access to alloegenic hematopoietic cell transplantation for AML to be selected for a Plenary Scientific Session Presentation at ASH 2024 in San Diego CA. This is a first step to try to achieve equity in chances to cure AML for all patients regardless of their background. More to come in the future. Congratulations Dr. Natalie Wuliji for being the first author and presenter of tue abstract.

I love being a PI, but this job comes with a sense of loneliness I never felt as a student or postdoc. I am thankful for my support system of family, mentors, and colleagues, but no one can fully understand the daily challenges. I’m pretty sure this is normal, just unexpected.
