Mrs. Claus is real — and she’s a Spartan. From East Lansing to the North Pole, this alumna is helping spread the spirit this holiday season. Through her community work and leadership in professional Santa organizations, Lisa Heileman, '86, is bringing "Goody" Claus to center stage and creating lasting memories for the next generation!

Before it became a beloved holiday train, the Pere Marquette 1225 spent many years parked near Spartan Stadium. Years later, those memories inspired Chris Van Allsburg's “The Polar Express.” He had visited campus as a child to attend MSU football games.

Sometimes a single moment captures what it means to be a Spartan. Greg and Dawn Williams are two people who’ve felt that spirit deeply — through family traditions and memories that formed their belief in @michiganstateu’s future. Last Friday, the Williamses shared the heartfelt story behind their transformational $401 million commitment-- the largest in MSU’s history.

Art has a new voice on campus. @michiganstateu welcomes Phillip Bahar as the new director of @MSUBroad. With a rich background leading Chicago Humanities and major art institutions, he’s poised to bring bold ideas and stronger community connections to our campus and beyond.
