I know everyone loves Malkin. Heck, I love Malkin, but when is it time to move on? Lets say you bring him back (I wouldn't), and he has another similar season. Are you bringing him back again? Is one more year enough to satisfy everyone or are we having this same conversation again this time next year?

Only in Pittsburgh will the media and a large portion of the fanbase say the Penguins shouldn’t bring back a guy who scored 19 goals 42 assists in 56 games at 39 years old. Tough luck for them though, Geno isn’t going anywhere.

Tanner Howe is the gonna real good. So will Zonnon, and Horcoff. We got Broz and Hayes too. Kindel is our best skating prospect, but I just think he will end up being very mid, and I’d move him for value, before he’s 22-23, 5 years in, and still not a point per game player.

Don't understand some of the narratives about Ben Kindel right now. What exactly did you expect from an 18-year-old's first NHL season and first playoff experience? He's fine. He has pretty much all of it figured out except the production. That's not typical.

@BruinsMedia11 Mantha most definitely played himself out of a contract. We want Brunicke and Livanange up at RD behind EK65 and Letang. I don’t mind keeping Shea for another year but I’m over the Shea experiment. The goaltending tandem next season needs to be Murashov/Silovs

@JRown32 Defense heavily outweighed offense both ways. Philly are pests, and they did that job well. Only 10 players recorded a point this series. I still think the break before the playoffs hurt us more than helped us.

@kelsey_surmacz4 Silovs was so close to stopping that one too. That's what sucks. Stood on his head and earned a spot next year, for sure.

That's a shame, man. Silovs deserved better. The Penguins had so many opportunities to end this. 1-0 is the final with the minutes fading away in OT. The Flyers win the series, 4-2, and the #LetsGoPens are eliminated in the first round. Heartbreaking loss.

@Cory_Tucek 61 points at 39 years old? Yeah, Geno will ride it out with Sid. Tanger isn't going anywhere, but his role needs reduced significantly. Forward dept is great, now we need defensive depth. That should be this year's focus.

@nhlpens Ride out the core to the end (87/71/58 plus 17 for sure) but drop Tanger's role & let 65 step up. Give 39 a short term deal (64 pts in the reg season is nothing to scoff at) Retool the D around 65, 28, 5, and 58. Let Skinner walk and run Silovs/Murashov. We'll be back.

If you're Kyle Dubas, after what you saw from your team in games 4-6, you have to build on it. Tear it down in 2 years. Support 87/65 for next year. 58 can play 3rd pair minutes, Geno can be in the middle 6. No reason why the team can't be better next year.
