Ive said it before, but its worth mentioning. The group stage favours PL teams as they have much more depth than the rest of the teams at the stages of the season where the schedule is the toughest. It favour non PL teams at the later stages, because other teams can rest players for the CL games, while PL teams need to go all in during the week and the weekend.
