MVI calls for respect and equality for all woman all around the world. In refugee camps, woman are the core of their families, holding them together in desperate times. They are the fighters that protect their families in the most dramatic of circumstances.#InternationalWomensDay

2. The MVI team is devastated by this news and we would like to offer our condolences and respect to the families and friends of these six people. We emphasise the need for safe passage for asylum seekers in Europe.

1. This morning another tragedy happened on Lesvos. Six people were discovered dead in the sea near the capital Mitilini. A group of people tried to reach the Greek islands in search of asylum and a better life but unfortunately not all of them succeeded.

The dynamics in Lesvos have changed a lot in the last two years, the challenges caused by the pandemic has become one of our team's priorities.

Our operations in Lesvos, Greece. We are currently working at the Mavrovouni camp (approximately 1900 residents) that was built after the burn of “Moria” in September 2020.
