I hated drawing backgrounds when I first started. I met a comic artist named Billy Dallas Patton at a show. He had an amazing double page spread of the entire island of Manhattan. It was fully detailed and rendered. I asked him how he was able to do that. He asking if I liked drawing backgrounds. I said "of course not". He replied "well I do". I completely changed my attitude that day. I started loving backgrounds. Studied photographs for design and structure of buildings until I could draw them out of my imagination. If you reference enough buildings in real life, you can start making them up from your head. Same with cars, trees, landscapes, etc. Just lots of practice and lots of love.

dude how does comic artists draw new york-ish buildings like it's nothing... they draw them so detailed and compatible yet they look so effortlessly good, i wonder if there's any shortcuts for drawing buildings 😭 if you're a professional artist i ask this to you too

@lofi_lover0930 It’s a realistic kind of combat, of course it’s gonna feel slow compared to other games like Shattered Dimensions or Web of Shadows, but the lack of speed is balanced with the amount of stuff you can do,
as a WoS fan, this is a great combat

However you highlighted why I think Insomniac Spidey games has the weakest combat I ever played from a Spider-Man game
It's too slow, there's no flair, almost no style, lacks agility

@vaughanilla_cos @kaiscomics The Insomniac games swinging feels like it’s assisting you a lot, the sequel improved it a lot by adding the choice to remove it but it just doesn’t feel the same as the PS2 one, that one felt like an actual pendulum with actual physics behind it

I understand why Insomniac wants to keep their more approachable web swinging system.
But I’m always going to miss the learning curve of this and the satisfaction of pulling off some crazy trick you thought up.
I’d love to see a modern-looking Spidey game with this swinging.
