@DrNighatArif What investigations are indicated to look at potential causes of irregular bleeding? My Pelvic U/S was normal, bloods are showing anaemia…the coil has been recommended. Does anything else need reviewing first?

Bleeding Between Periods- is not normal Growths in and around your uterus (such as endometriosis, fibroids, or polyps), problems with your hormones or the type of birth control pill you're using, and STDs (including chlamydia and gonorrhea) can be responsible for blood showing between your periods. @karenphysiocouk @sunsopeningband I utilise dual tasking a lot with my FND patients. I have seen this reduce involuntary movements significantly. I then try to see if we can address it in function e.g. listen to a quiz whilst out walking to redirect to an external focus of attention. Won’t work for everyone!

@sunsopeningband I saw a pt with diagnosed FND. Fixed focal dystonia. It was linked to a trauma and the body did not behave as I would expect any typical neuro presentation, nor respond to anything. They went to a specialist FND clinic and returned with a bemused expression...

all these FND clinicians sure seem to be so comfortable with telling people it’s not in their heads and then turning around and recommending cognitive-behavioral therapy, which is all about modifying the thoughts and beliefs that are 🥁🥁🥁 in your head 🫠
