@NCDOT Not far north of nc-73 Sam Furr, on 77nb, there is a sign for an overpass 14' 9". We are 15' 7" tall, permitted to go under, and did successfully clear. Please remove or update that sign because my butthole puckered so hard when I saw it I think I pulled a muscle.

I'm good enough with them, though I memorize everything with routes prior to trips (just use phone GPS to check traffic), but my late brother was a savant with maps and directions, I'm nothing like he was. He gobbled up AAA's TripTiks and was the navigator for our parents, even directed my mom through Chicago as a young kid. My dad noticed it first when he was a toddler and not very verbal - driving to our grandparents' home in Citrus County from the Tampa area, he saw that my brother's head would turn in the direction they would make before making the turn so he tested him by intentionally making some wrong ones, causing my brother to fuss and cry. 😯

@AmberLakeFarm Amber, Looking at this thread... Is there a specific road/county you are inquiring about so we can check with our division offices? We take your complaint seriously and would like to provide you details if possible.

The @NCDOT has a sign up they are closing the road “our” road from 4/6 to 4/10. No indication of what part of the road (it’s miles long). No idea why. Neighbors don’t know; we’ve talked. This is just a small reminder by the government that they own the roads. They feel we should be grateful we are allowed on them. In these government bureaucrats’ minds: “Shut up slave! Now get back to work so you can send us more money!”
