Coalition Joint Forces Conduct Limited Airstrike on Foreign Military Supplies at Mukalla Port
The official spokesperson of the Coalition, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that on Saturday and Sunday, December 27–28, 2025, two vessels arrived from Fujairah Port to Mukalla Port without obtaining official authorization from the Coalition Joint Forces Command. The crews of the vessels reportedly disabled their tracking systems and unloaded a significant quantity of weapons and military vehicles intended to support the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Yemen’s eastern governorates of Hadramout and Al-Mahara, aiming to fuel the conflict, which is a clear violation of the ongoing ceasefire efforts and a breach of UN Security Council Resolution 2216 (2015).
Major General Al-Maliki explained that, in response to a request from the President of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council and to protect civilians in Hadramout and Al-Mahara, and due to the threat posed by the weapons, the Coalition conducted a limited airstrike this morning targeting the weapons and military vehicles that had been unloaded from the two vessels at Mukalla Port. The operation was carried out after documentation and in accordance with international humanitarian law and customary rules, ensuring no collateral damage.
Al-Maliki emphasized that the Coalition remains committed to de-escalation and maintaining the ceasefire in #Hadramout and Al-Mahara. The Coalition will prevent the delivery of any military support from any country to any Yemeni faction without coordination with the legitimate Yemeni government and the Coalition, supporting ongoing efforts by Saudi Arabia and the Coalition to achieve security, stability, and prevent the expansion of the conflict.
