Girish Venkatasubban, who has worked on rocket and missile components for India’s aerospace and military sectors, is now building the country’s first indigenous compound bow. It began with a simple moment — asking his nine-year-old son to pick a sport. When the answer was archery, what followed was a deeper problem: high costs, delays and a complete dependence on imported equipment. The result is the Tej 28, already used at the national level, offering a glimpse of what domestic manufacturing could mean for Indian archery. Read more as @jon_selvaraj takes you through the journey of building Imaxx Sports and its Made-in-India archery products. 🏹 🔗: shorturl.at/wZ0di 📸: Special Arrangement

Their bowling looked ordinary from the beginning. But when you start fielding like today, it just makes things worse. Can't always rely on batters to bail you out, Punjab Kings. #ipl2026

“Back home now. As usual, no one knows what happened over the past two weeks, and it seems like no one really cares.” Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, doubles partner of Chirag Shetty, expressed his emotions through social media. Echoing the sentiment, Chirag shared Satwik’s message on his own social media account and expressed disappointment over the lack of fanfare at the airport to welcome the Indian team back from the Thomas Cup. After failing to win a medal in the first 31 editions of the Thomas Cup, India has now finished on the podium twice in the last four years. 🏸🥉 Winning a Thomas Cup medal is no mean feat. It requires squad depth — multiple high-quality singles options and at least one, if not two, solid doubles pairs. With the Asian Games set to take place later this year, these are some of the issues the Badminton Association of India will have to address. @nihitsachdeva28 takes a closer look at the key questions India must address after securing a Thomas Cup bronze medal. 🔗: shorturl.at/2FgkA 📸: IG/senlakshya, Getty Images

Commentator Gill Clark just said what many of us have been thinking, "H. S. Prannoy. I wonder if we'll ever see him again in a Thomas Cup tie for India as a player." The memories of 2022 title-winning run ❤️ #ThomasCup2026

And there it is. China wins its 12th Thomas Cup title, beating France 3-1 in the final in Horsens, Denmark. But kudos to French team. From shocking Indonesia to then clean sweeping Japan & India before pushing China hard in all three singles in the final, they were impressive.

Winning all three singles was probably the only way France could have won #ThomasCup2026 final against China and the Frenchmen gave absolutely everything. However, China leads 2-1. This could now be over in 1st doubles.

Unbelievable. One horrible show after another from Indian quartets at World Relays. Terrible baton exchanges, injuries and what not. 4x100m mixed team did well to set a new NR but not enough to qualify for next year's World Championships. #IndianAthletics
