@nineten currently halfway through the game and I guess the gameplay being miserable is part of the experience bc god damn these enemies are so brutal even when going overleveled😭😭
@ElegabalusGroyp@loveterrorjade It's a wacky and zany traditional Japanese roleplaying game set in America in the 80's/90's about some kids who take it upon themselves to save the world. Think Stranger Things, but not produced by Hollywood.
@nineten i am delighted to inform you i have already beaten mother 1 at least once and i am excited to beat it again but in a slightly more palatable way
@FujoshiTgirl I would always say start with the first game. Before this came out I would tell people to play Mother 1 a bit, and if they didn't enjoy it Play Mother 2 and 3, then come back. This seems like it's a fantastic way to start the Mother trilogy now.
@the_paris_green Mother 1 isn't that hard to be fair (except for the graveyard in the beginning), once you get a party member, and grind up a bit, it becomes a lot easier.
@GustavoSCosta@HandyAlacrity Either or is good from what I can tell. If you want a more casual experience, similar to EarthBound, play the remake hack that just released, if you want to experience the first Mother game as it released back in '89, play EarthBound Beginnings.
@GustavoSCosta@HandyAlacrity There is, but I still recommend playing with it on. It really isn't that bad, compared to something like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest... Which I guess this is pretty similar to.
