Once upon a time, I found myself desperately needing a new job. Searching and applying for jobs was incredibly challenging and overwhelming. I don't want anyone to go through the same troubles, so I created a community t.me/+morJTyA5-HNkZ… 1/3

@Holashots @zephyrr_c @drhcimci People who have more than one date of birth know why they do it. PS: I’m not saying President Tinubu isn’t 74.

@nsemboo @zephyrr_c @drhcimci I totally share your perspective on this. But let’s be honest, 14yrs ago a whole video documentary was made about his 60th and he has been a public figure for long subjected to public scrutiny, What agenda could he have want to make with his age then ?

@uhni__ @OtunbaBrickz Subsidies aren’t bad. How they were implemented in Nigeria was the problem For it to be effective, it has to be targeted at those who need it most i.e. low income earners There’s no government that doesn’t provide subsidies to its vulnerable citizens

loooool don’t get carried away with over subsidized fuel! the Iranian government uses 15% of its GDP to subsidize fuel & electricity! it’s why 1 usd is 1.3m Iranian rial with inflation at 50.6% the actual economy is in tatters and why iranians started protesting and calling for a regime change in the first place! even UAE & Saudi arabia that are far richer than Iran do not subsidize fuel this much, price per litre in Saudi is $0.62 (N900) & UAE is $0.68(N1020) subsidies this crazy like iran is doing come with a price tag and its economic ruins!

@Holashots @zephyrr_c @drhcimci But anyone can’t forge their age? Many Nigerians have two or even three different date of births…which they use for different purposes. So I take these things with a pinch of salt. PS: I’m not saying President Tinubu isn’t 74.

@theairbuser 13MW is insufficient for a nation of 200 mill. So, as they are planning to fix the current issues, they should also be planning to increase the installed capacity to at least 50GW.

We have 13,000mw generation capacity installed. But at the moment, we are generating 4,000mw. We’ve not fully utilized the existing one and you’re talking about add more. Gas supplies to the power grid is only 43% of installed capacity. GENCOs and DiSCos are heavily indebted to the gas companies. Federal government is owing the GENCOs and DISCOs about N6 trillion. These issues need to be fixed first. It’s not by shouting incompetence and excuses when you don’t understand the complex issues in the power sector.
GODZILLA@_Samcleave

We have no added one MW to our transmission since Tinubu got into office and we have lost up to 2,000MW too. Amọda kan, incompetence pupọ 🙌

@AOBamiduro @dvearse @yunusxonline @Just_Ozed Oh. I knew about the “road that leads directly to the north” but I thought it was before Agbara (where there are massive pillars on both sides; those pillars have been there for years) I’ll do well to confirm this anytime I’m at Agbara.

@dvearse @nsemboo @yunusxonline @Just_Ozed There is a road that has always been called "Sokoto Road" at Atan/ Agbara Junction. It had 2 lanes. Construction has started that's axis and it has been expanded to 4 lanes. Massive work ongoing on at the moment. A plot of land is now ~N1M. An acre was ~N2M a year ago.

The Sokoto - Badagry superhighway, Kebbi axis, spanning more than 250 kilometres. The superhighway would include solar-powered lighting, dams, and rail infrastructure to support agriculture, electricity generation, and commerce.

Many people might not believe this but... In 2023, I was packed into a police Danfo during a random raid in Jos, Plateau state. I was trekking for an all night session in school. They drove us to the station, seized our phones, and told everyone to sit on the bare floor behind the counter. The IPO in his faded uniform brought out rumpled sheets of paper and shouted ''Criminals remove your shoes make una write una statement for here'' I tried to look at the guys beside me who were sweating and writing things like "I am just walking and police catch me abeg I am a student." Another guy with a torn shirt was writing, "I swear to God I am not a cultist, I only went to buy indomie and egg, my mother is a widow." One particular guy was literally dropping tears on his paper, writing, "I don't smoke loud, I have CHM 101 test tomorrow morning, please have mercy in Jesus name." I knew my family did not have 50k for any emergency bail. So I sat on that cold floor, balanced the paper on my knee, and activated the ''Femi Falana'' in me (small HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MUDER was giving me confidence). I did not write a plea o. I wrote a chronological, legally terrifying timeline of my abduction. I used phrases like "unlawful detainment," "absence of probable cause," and "infringement of fundamental liberties." I made sure my handwriting was looking like a typed font🤲🏾 Thirty minutes later, the DPO walked in to inspect the night's harvest. He was biting the edge of a pure water sachet when he started reading the statements one by one, tossing them aside. Then he picked up my paper. He read the first paragraph, stopped, and looked at the crowd on the floor. He read it again. I was already preparing my mind for Cell One, the one with Mosquitoes that trained in Afghanistan. I was entirely convinced my grammar had angered him. The DPO looked at the IPO and said, "Who write this thing?" The IPO pointed at me. The DPO told me to stand up and follow him to his office. At that point, I wished I wrote my statement in Hausa😭 I entered the room, sweating like cold water. He sat down, dropped the paper on his desk, and said, "So, you sabi write English like this and you dey waka late night?" He opened his drawer and brought out a massive stack of dirty files. He complained that the station's secretary had been sick for three days and they had a massive backlog of official reports to send to the Area Commander. I did not enter the cell that night. I sat in a perfectly air-conditioned office from 11 PM to 4 AM, actively ghostwriting police reports, restructuring suspect confessions, and formatting legal petitions for the Nigerian Police Force. By 5 AM, the DPO gave me 15k cash for a job well done, bought me a plate of white rice, and ordered the patrol van to drive me safely to my hostel with full escorts. If you are currently smiling at this beautiful grass-to-grace story, I want you to know that you just read several heavy paragraphs of pure, undiluted fiction. I have never been arrested in my life. I am currently on my bed eating bread and egg. But like the original tweet said, proper articulation solves 75% of your problems. The remaining 25% is knowing how to lie fluently to farm engagement on this app. Happy Sunday.

@LaceVine Point is today is not as cloudy as you make it seem at 11am you're mostly at peak sun on a sunny day, you won't have 55% on a proper cloudy/rainy day with the same load by 11am. Unless u just installed that system and u never experience rainy season, u should understand this.

@chibuzo_mikel Under current conditions, it's impossible. But if there's: - power - finance - quality control - logistics - export-friendly policies, etc. then it's possible. This applies to all industrial or manufacturing zones in Nigeria, not just Aba.

😂😂😂😂 If it was when I was 18 years old, I may have believed this kind of statement. But today, I analyse everything (and that's why I am always getting people angry 😂😂) and frankly speaking this kind of statement (whether it comes from Peter Obi, Atiku or Tinubu himself) is very unrealistic and I'll tell you why. In 2025, NNPCL remitted N14.7 trillion into the federation account for sharing by the three tiers of government while NUPRC remitted N8.5 trillion. That means a total of N23.2 trillion REVENUE came from oil out of the N35 trillion inflows into the federation account in 2025. Mind you, the N23.2 trillion is not the total amount earned from crude oil sales, it's the portion of it that flows into the federation account after the oil companies must have made necessary cost deductions and taken their profit. So, when you talk about REVENUE for Nigeria, you're talking about the money that will enter into the public purse. So, I wonder how on earth Aba shoe and garment industry will generate N23.2 trillion (around $17 billion) in tax revenue for Nigeria annually! For context, the GDP of Abia in 2023 is under N4 trillion (less than $3 billion). GDP o, not revenue. So, when we make statements, let's tone down on the unrealistic projections please. I like facing reality. Happy Palm 🌴 Sunday

@lanreicecream @Yemihazan you just made my point: a drop in performance during rainy season is not equal to the dam/grid being useless. Dams with large reservoirs even still perform well solar have batteries for a reason. They will still charge during rainy season though performance drops
