Scotland woman Kira Cousins has apologized, saying she "faked scans, messages, a whole birth story, and acted like a doll was a real baby." Cousins tricked family and friends and even put on a gender reveal party with the "baby's father." Cousins shared a post on Facebook after the "birth," saying: "Miss Bonnie-Leigh Joyce Gardner. Born 10/10/25 @ 2: 46 am. 5lbs 4oz ... All warm and wrapped up today, equally as cute." According to Dexerto, Cousins later shared on Facebook that the baby had a serious heart condition and needed surgery. She later texted the baby's "father," telling him that Bonnie-Leigh had passed away. The "father" appeared confused and upset by the news. Cousins has since apologized for the hoax. "I wasn’t pregnant. There was no baby. I made it up and kept it going way too far. I faked scans, messages, a whole birth story, and acted like a doll was a real baby."
