this uniswap v4 hooks tech has been on the market for over a year
only now we've seen innovation
this makes me assume the unipeg team really had a eureka moment. they had an original thought about how to create something new
my guess is the pace of the project caught the team off guard. I'm not sure anyone could've predicted this velocity
that said there does seem to be a plan, a roadmap
what's happening here is interesting. whether it proves to be groundbreaking remains to be seen
the notion that trading tokens can render unique immutable nfts is new
the fact there is friction is good
the fact that many don't get it is good
tbh this feels like the perfect development for opensea who have been trying to get users to trade tokens on their platform as well as trading nfts

Consensus for many seems that re rolling to get rarer traits is a popular choice
But the code doesn’t know the difference in rarity. It spits out what it wants.
Will that not mean that those fishing for rare traits are screwing themselves? Will plain/boring upegs become the rares?

Techcoins like $uPEG are better than memecoins in a few ways IMO.
- They are less likely to be PVP, as it takes a lot of effort to replicate than memecoins.
- Dev's work are tangible and not something that any KOLs can randomly cook up for their own benefits, unlike memecoins.
- Alpha and Betas are very obvious, there is no debate on which ones are the OG or copies, simple DYOR will reveal which project/coin started the meta. Same can't be said for a memecoins (even the oldest memecoin by launch date can be vamped by cabal pushing their own coin).
