I went to do a sim replacement at the MTN office yesterday. A certain man came shouting furiously at the workers that they are thieves and claimed they stole his money from his MoMo Account. 😭a waaa
He said he is a plumber who worked on someone’s washroom and got paid 500gh via momo but when he checked his account balance he can only see 50gh. He claims at first the person who he worked for scammed him. 😔💔
After several minutes of shouting, the customer service representative calmed him and took his phone to check his messages and realized he took a loan of 450gh which was 2days due. 😭😭
So when the 500 hit his account automated deduction of 450 was made leaving a remaining balance of 50gh.
They asked if he actually took the loan himself and he said he didn’t . They checked his transaction records and found out an amount of 450gh was transferred to a number with a surname he bares the same day the loan was issued. 🤦♂️
They asked and he confirmed it was the name of his second born son. He quickly took his phone back and went straight home without saying a word. I know the son is cooked by now😭
Moral lesson: keep your momo pin private!
