We are thrilled to announce the acceptance of 4 new partners into the Global Democracy Coalition! Each of these organizations brings invaluable expertise and commitment to strengthening democracy across the globe.​ @HornofAYN: The Horn of Africa Youth Network contributes to strengthening and advancing democracy by empowering youth as active agents of change, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to participate meaningfully in democratic processes, civic engagement, and policy advocacy. Through its capacity-strengthening initiatives, HoAYN builds the leadership and advocacy skills of young people, enabling them to influence decision-making and hold public institutions accountable. The organization actively participates in African Union (AU) Observation Missions and joint AU-IGAD-COMESA election observation missions, promoting transparent, credible, and inclusive electoral processes across the region. Ramos Research Institute: The Ramos Research Institute advances democracy through research, civic education initiatives, public dialogue, and policy engagement focused on strengthening democratic participation and civic understanding. RRI conducts original research on civic engagement, media literacy, democratic norms, and youth participation. The institute also develops educational frameworks, convenes conversations across ideological divides, and partners with universities and civil society organizations to translate research into practical civic initiatives. @TEleitoralBR: A non-profit organization whose fundamental principle is the development of democracy and democratic practices in institutions and civil society. The organization joins the efforts of other Latin American countries in projects aimed at strengthening democratic integrity, fostering these values, and solidifying a sentiment around democracy. Their mission is to mobilize all those interested in promoting democracy as a vital pillar of society, providing technical and scientific contributions to solving problematic issues in democracy. @yorjaorg: YORJA contributes to strengthening democracy by promoting accountability, inclusive governance, and citizen participation, particularly among young people who are often excluded from formal political and justice processes. The organisation supports democratic consolidation by engaging in policy development and advocacy around the African Union Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP), ensuring that justice processes are participatory, transparent, and responsive to citizens’ needs. We look forward to collaborating with them on our shared goals and strengthening the collective impact of our efforts.
