🇳🇬 JUST IN: A second bomb explosion has been reported in Maiduguri, Borno State, with the blast occurring between Monday Market and the Post Office area, further escalating tension across the city.
Preliminary information suggests that the earlier explosion near the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) may have been a follow-up attack deliberately timed to target emergency responders and civilians rushing to assist victims of the first blast.
Witnesses report scenes of panic, with smoke rising from affected areas as security personnel move in to secure the locations.
Casualty figures are not yet officially confirmed, but injured victims are reportedly being evacuated for treatment.

🇳🇬 JUST IN: Multiple Bomb Blasts Rock Maiduguri, Explosion Reported Near UMTH Gate Multiple explosions have been reported in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Monday evening, sending panic across parts of the city. Early reports indicate that one of the blasts occurred near the main gate of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), where injured victims were reportedly rushed into the hospital for emergency treatment. Residents say the explosions happened around or shortly after iftar, the evening meal used to break the Ramadan fast.
