Dr. Jahanshahi has presented his research “Beyond Ink & Pixels: Metamorphosis of the Nasta’liq Script” at the 110th CAA Annual Conference in Chicago. The paper inquiries into the history of the Nasta’liq script its present framework in art, design, and commerce within Iran.

The Iranian Students Association at OSU (IRSA) is going to celebrate one of the oldest celebrations, the Nowruz ceremony. Please join us in this event and learn more about Iranian culture on March 18th, 2022, at 7 p.m. at Wesley Foundation.

Dr. Gholizadeh, IPGS professor, and colleague Kianoosh Hassani, engaged in research using high-resolution satellite imagery to map the biodiversity of the Hyrcanian Forests to develop an operational large-scale biodiversity monitoring system for inaccessible regions.

Ferdowsi kept Farsi, a branch of the Indo-European family developed 4000 years ago, alive throughout history. There are about 75 accents and dialects such as Bakhtiari, Azerbaijani, Kurdish, Mazandarani, Balochi and Arabic in Iran which act as different lens to see the world.

IPGS Endowed Professor, Dr. Saleh Taghvaeian, recently served on the graduate committee of a master's student at University of Tehran, and her thesis received the top award of the Iranian Hydraulic Association! #OkstateIPGS #GlobalOkstate

Dr. Mirchi has been endowed by the IPGS program since the fall of 2019. He serves as an Assistant professor within the Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering department here at Oklahoma State University.

Yesterday was the National Day of Hafez-e Shirazi, which commemorates one of the greatest Persian poets. Hafiz's sonnets were translated into European languages in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries opening the world to Persian literature. ow.ly/21TJ50Gr2Eg

Dr. Saleh S. Tabrizy, Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma, will be joining us Wednesday, September 29th, to discuss Iran’s Conservative Administration and the Global Economy. The event will be streamed live on OState.TV .
