Oh. Arizona has jokes. Don’t think this will go unnoticed in the Ravens locker room.

@sgellison Thr timing of when he tweeted is predominant. It’s entirely possible that he cleared, coordinated, or may perhaps even have been counseled by the team to release that tweet exactly when he did to see if any offers could be drummed up in order to speed things along.

Lamar Jackson saying his trade request wasn’t serious and was essentially a business negotiation tactic is an important point to remember.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an NFL player use that trade tactic to create leverage, get a good deal, end up with his original team, and still have a happy and strong relationship with said team. Another common negotiation tactic is players scrubbing their social media of team images … again, only for them to continue playing with that same team.
Point being, its not always an indication of bad blood or even that a player really wants out. In some instances that might be the case, but often times its just part of the business process in trying to get the deal he’s seeking.
It’s not always emotional. It’s not always a war - even though that’s what some media often portray it as. It’s negotiations. That’s it. As Lamar said, “it’s a grown-man thing."

@sgellison So basically everything posted on social media is suspect
Lamar Jackson@Lj_era8
in regards to my future plans. As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team

Lamar Jackson: "I really didn't care for other teams. I just really wanted to get something done here. I wanted to be here. Other teams are cool, but I want to be a Raven. I said something in 2018, on April 26, if I'm not mistaken, and I meant that. I'm standing on that until I get it done. ... I really want to finish my career here. I want to win a Super Bowl here."

@TheMattWise Musta been annoying for EDC and was awkward to watch but that room is probably the entire village that it took to raise that man, so you can understand their excitement!

In the entire history of houses, this might be a Top 5 loudest house.

Ravens have kept in touch with Ya-Sin since initial FA visit in March. W/them agreeing to deal now, they don't lose the potential fourth-round comp pick that they are in line to get for departure of Ben Powers.
Ya-Sin is projected starter on outside across from Marlon Humohrey.
Jordan Schultz@Schultz_Report
Breaking: CB Rock Ya-Sin is signing a 1-year deal with the #Ravens worth up to $6M, source tells @theScore. Ya-Sin limited opposing QBs to just an 82.5 passer rating when targeted last season with the #Raiders. The former #Colts’ star is only 26 years old.

@TheMattWise Oh goodness, that means they’ll trade out of the 1st and by the time it’s their turn again all those guys will be gone 🤦♂️
English

@sgellison Doesn’t make sense. If he’s working as closely with the NFLPA as the media reported, wouldn’t the NFLPA have had ample opportunity to tell him about this rule? Just sounds like a lot of amateurish bumbling from Lamar’s side.
English

Kimberley Martin: “I can tell you that there is a family friend of the Jacksons, who has called a couple teams serving as his representative. This individual is not NFLPA certified, so teams are not going to discuss business with him.”
RGIII on the relationship between Lamar and Ravens: “The relationship is - I don’t even want to say ‘salvageable’ because I don’t think it’s in a bad place … it’s just about the money.”
English

@DaKidGowie Right and that’s why he’s being dealt to a QB starved Jets team that just wants a guy who can consistently make 10 yard throws.
English

@olan_ci Your counter is a problem within itself. When I talk about Lamar, my approach is for people to hold other QBs to the same standard. You can make low-light reels for every QB that has played the game. Overthrows aren’t exclusive to Lamar. Here’s a 4x League MVP:
English

.@KVanValkenburg on Lamar Jackson: "The biggest problem for the #Ravens is missing their window to win during his rookie deal. That loss to the #Titans is always gonna sting bc they were the best team in the football and everyone was pretty much healthy, that was their window."
English

@rhormes_ @DyFrex___ I’m shocked, SHOCKED that you guys would think someone with the integrity of Mike Florio would just make random shit up.
<sarcasm>

"Lamar Jackson is ready to move on from the Ravens".
Yeah, but it doesn't seem the Ravens are ready to move on from him. Unless is an offer out of this world, Baltimore should match any value to come. They prepared for that. That's why they opened so much space. Also, this might just be some smokescreen by Lamar's side to force office to match any offer and keep him for a higher value. And is Lamar really done with us? Weird, because he keeps popping up with Ravens outfits, chains, etc.
English

@KylePBarber I think they’re selling it dramatically short.

According to Gambling.com, the Baltimore Ravens fanbase is the third-angriest online NFL fanbase since free agency began.

@giftency545 @LaGOATJackson @BMoreKorean @jamisonhensley @HolderStephen Not all of them demand $230+ guaranteed, either. We Baltimore fans also saw them win two Super Bowls with Dilfer and Flacco, so…
English

@olan_ci @LaGOATJackson @BMoreKorean @jamisonhensley @HolderStephen Lol speaking like every qb don’t need wr help, I can’t wait for him to get traded so we Baltimore fans spend another 10yrs irrelevant and seeing him be great somewhere else
