The four principal categories of embedded finance are deposits, payments, issuing, and lending. Deposits — Transaction and deposit accounts that merchants and consumers can open and use from within an app or software platform. Payments — Money movement from within nonbank apps or software. Issuing — Prepaid, debit, and credit cards for customers and employees, issued from within business management software or apps. Lending — Unsecured lending embedded in business management software. (eg. merchant cash advance) and Secured lending for large purchases with underwriting and origination at point of sale.

Why we invested in @splinetool, again. With 3D now becoming a default content format, alongside images, audio, and video, we saw the need for a robust software platform to facilitate the creation and manipulation of objects in this domain. Spline lets users create 3D objects, edit materials, add interactivity (including game controls) and animations, and export them — all from a web browser, either from scratch or pre-made objects. The platform’s collaboration features let users work together to fine-tune and comment on assets, and create real-time physics simulations and interactions between those assets.
