Next time I see a member of the 'digital circus fandom' in real life, I'm shining a blinding light into their eyes and shouting "DONT MEET YOUR HEROES DONT MEET YOU HEROES DONT MEET YOUR HEROES!"
I think it will serve as a good reminder. To never meet your heroes. In real life.
@TheKVictor@zundamotisuki I don't why it's surprising but it is. They're running the same game all over the world. Literally everything they've done here they're doing everywhere.
@momonomeah What's been causing me to really think is that he was frustrated at God over his mercy. The source of Jonah's disobedience was that he didn't want that mercy for the Assyrians. We are also blessed by that mercy.
@SandyofCthulhu If we pealed the label of these activists groups I wonder what we'd find underneath. After all of you can take American stuff via American guilt, why not try?
This whole line of argument is so insane. America bought Alaska fair and square. We got Texas & California by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo PLUS WE ALSO PAID MEXICO FOR THE LAND.
Now activists want it back. What manner of obtaining land is acceptable to this type of pea-brain?
Also it's not like Alaska & California were Russia's & Mexico's by birthright - they were conquered by Russia & Spain first. So if conquest in those cases is okay, then it's okay for us too.
And of course there was no Mexico at all in the year 1794. Please.
☕️ I sometimes try to read Western newspapers & articles just to laugh. This one argues that coffee is racist.
How is anyone taking this seriously? It's really remarkable for me.
A few people are big mad that I stated factually that Frieren would fit in Middle-earth quite well.
The only thing that would need to be tweaked is the source of her power. Tolkien would frown at the application of magic in Frieren's story, however, knowing as much as I do about the Professor, I feel comfortable saying he would likely find the character very intriguing.
