There's a slightly uncanny thing where derelict corporate brands get grandfathered in as nostalgia objects. And with Blockbuster you can really see the problem, because where I grew up it put the two local indie video stores out of business.

Sad part of this is of course that blockbuster was the cornball VHS rental place. We had an indie one on the walk home from school and 20 mins away there was the connoisseur’s rental place that had a whole section devoted to the crimes of the Vatican and Clinton’s ATF at Waco

many people's thoughts about music start and end at "this is bad" or "this is good" . if you ask them why they are so sure of their position they will respond with indignance as if it's so obvious to be offensive to even ask: "because it is bad" or "because it is good"

Been falling down a bit of a Looney Tunes k-hole. Every six months or so I start watching a lot of Looney Tunes and I ask myself: “Why do I ever watch anything else?” The other things that do this to me are classic Simpsons, Laurel & Hardy, and the Three Stooges.

@TakiUdon_ I'm not trying to beat up on you, I think these are some great things you're making. My MisterPi rocks. But email updates once in a blue moon would be a better way to handle this stuff than replying individually when it comes up.
