Ruby fans! What's the most notorious RubyGem for installing because of its C or C++ extensions? My install scripts for Windows install winlibs, but I'm not sure if that's able to build gems with C bindings. Drop me some suggestions and I'll test it.

@lzsthw Link to CMake in the OSX section is not working. I installed CMake and Meson using brew. Setup, compile worked (with warnings) . Demo runs fine as far as I can tell but my smiley (?) face rolled off the edge of my canvas and could not be retrieved so I guess that’s a fail? 🤷😀

Finally! I think this is probably the hardest part of doing a C++ book, especially when you try to support Windows, OSX, and Linux at the same time, but I now have install instructions for a basic cross platform C++ dev environment: learncodethehardway.com/courses/learn-… Now to work on: 1. The Introduction will probably have to come after a few more exercises so I know what to say. 2. Work on the first little game people make more toward the end to be sure it's the right scope. 3. Start working on a few more exercises to test out if this dev environment actually works, or if I'll have to add some stuff to smooth things out. If you have the time, give these instructions a try and report back to me if they fail on your OS. Thanks!

@p3d Yes, I just fixed it. Thanks for letting me know. Can I just rant for a second? So you're telling me that Twitter has the actual URL, that I put in the Tweet, as real text, and it _ignores_ what I wrote, and uses the twitter: or og: tags instead? That's so stupid.

Redid my blog using my Bandolier project as a quick test: zedshaw.com Pretty easy, as a blog usually is, but this should have all the kinds of SEO goodness that I could manage. Apparently though, Twitter cards don't work anymore and you have buy ad campaigns? What?

@lzsthw I have just loaded it on chrome on osx and yeah the og:url is fine!

@p3d Weird. So just on iOS? The card is misconfigured (couldn't test it because they moved the tester to paid ads only) but on the browser Twitter it works.
