@evanwch The human threshhold for "purpose" is crazy low. If you can make it your purpose to go to an ugly building every day for 40 years and sit in front of a screen typing numbers into spreadsheets, you can make it your life's purpose to play video games all day instead easily.

I’m not a fan of UBI. I think people need jobs and purpose in order to be happy. But Elon likely knows what’s coming. Most of us have no idea. If AI is what people say, it will change everything In a post-labor world there needs to be a solution, and no alternative is literal cruelty. For people who hate what he’s talking about- what’s your solution?

@Firedingo @ChristopherHale Correct. This is also why there is one central Catholic denomination and several tens of thousands protestant ones. Nothing wrong with the belief that faith is only between an individual and their god and no man can have religious authority over another, but that's not catholic.

@pattern4 @ChristopherHale Yes. This & some other things is 100% why Martin Luther kicked off the reformation in the church When he was brought to trial by the church, he demanded they use the bible to judge him by....the catholic church refused to do that. Really says something about some of their beliefs

Unfortunately Lego has lost their way in more than just the parks. Go into any Lego store nowadays and half the store is $200-$1000 black boxes. They figured out they can simply sell “Adult Lego” and make multiples of the amount they would selling to kids. Profiting off of nostalgia and leaving their core, kids toys to wither away. I don’t like it.

Lego used to run Legoland. It licensed the brand to another company which now runs it. This has been celebrated as a genius business move which not only allows them to focus on their core business but generates lots of cash. Maybe it was a good move in 2005, but today Lego is not only the biggest toy company in the world, but also has successful retail stores and produces its own movies. The Legoland I went to was not only not on-brand. It was magoo. There were times where I honestly wasn’t sure if I had left Legoland, it was so not Lego. And Legoland tried to sell me a $55 pizza which they didn’t even bake in the restaurant. But I digress… Licensed out Legoland might make money but it cheapens the brand and actually harms sales in a way that cannot be measured on any financial document, especially if you don’t know they license their brand out. Lego is the biggest toy company in the world making $3 billion usd + in net profit per year. Buy back your parks already. It reminds me of Apple being too scared to release a car. Companies in the West care too much about making money every single year. That’s not the point of running a company and never was. This “gotta raise prices and lower quality for shareholders” stuff is so whack. “Fiduciary duty”? What about the duty to your soul to do something great? C’mon Lego, you’re better than this. We all are.

do you understand what just happened? Anthropic has sent this email to Claude users starting tomorrow at 12pm PT… you can no longer use your subscription limits for third-party tools like OpenClaw here's what it means: → your flat rate Pro or Max subscription now only covers Claude's own products… Claude Code, Cowork, and claude(.)ai → third-party tools that connect via OAuth will require "extra usage"… a separate pay as you go bill on top of your subscription → this starts April 4 with OpenClaw but applies to all third-party harnesses going forward → to soften the blow… Anthropic is offering a one time credit equal to your monthly subscription price. redeem by April 17 → they're also introducing pre-purchase bundles with up to 30% discount on extra usage → you can still use OpenClaw with your Claude account. this isn't a ban. it's a billing change. API key access is unaffected here's what actually happened behind the scenes… users were running $1,000-$5,000 worth of agentic workloads through a $200/month Max subscription by routing through third-party tools that's like buying an all you can eat buffet pass and feeding your entire office through the door with it Anthropic's systems were getting crushed. the email literally says "these tools put an outsized strain on our systems" so it appears the $200/mo AI max plan arbitrage era is officially over... if you're running OpenClaw or any third-party harness on Claude… → turn on extra usage billing before 12pm PT tomorrow to keep things running → or switch to API keys instead of OAuth → grab that free credit before April 17 this was always coming: the math never worked for Anthropic at flat rate pricing with unlimited third-party access the real question now is what this means for every open source tool built on top of Claude's subscription layer the ecosystem just got a lot more expensive overnight

The “Vibe Coding” honeymoon is officially OVER. For a while, it felt magical. Prompt in, product out. No deep context, no architecture, no trade-offs. Just vibes. But reality is catching up: • Systems still need to scale
• Edge cases still exist
• Debugging still hurts
• And someone still has to own the code AI didn’t replace engineering, it amplified the gap between people who understand systems and people who don’t. “Vibe coding” is great for getting started.
But shipping real, reliable software? That still requires thinking. The engineers who win won’t be the ones who vibe the fastest - they’ll be the ones who understand what the vibe produced.

There are some things about human life that are imperfect. Things you merely need to accept and realize that life is something that happened rather than something that was sculpted to perfection. We are lucky to be here. We are lucky to be alive. That said, one of these weird things we need to accept is that having a daughter means that your daughter is going to be a sex object for men. That’s how life works. Women are sex objects for men. It’s weird for a man to realize this and accept it. It’s not porn brained. If anything, it’s the opposite. It’s real life.

@OKYsimartapps @haha_girrrl Redefined to what? UBI is in effect communism. Maybe it will work, but in effect it's saying capitalism is not a meaningful idea in the 21st century any more. Europe and China will be able to cope with that (heavily taxing and redistributing is common there), but will the US?

THIS GUY USED CLAUDE CODE TO DESIGN CUSTOM FURNITURE then handed the PDF to a carpenter and actually built it he described a full wall unit to claude. wardrobe, drawers, mirror, fragrance display, hidden vault, laundry section. all in one piece claude wrote 1400 lines of python that generates carpenter-ready technical drawings as a PDF. front elevation, plan view, construction notes. all dimensioned in centimeters claude updated the script each time. added LED lighting positions, ventilation specs, push-to-open latches, soft-close hinges he handed the PDF directly to his carpenter. built exactly to spec. zero modifications needed this is the most real world use of vibe coding i've seen.

Andrew Yang is calling it "The Fuckening." That's his actual word for it. And honestly it fits. A CEO of a publicly traded tech company told him directly: "We're firing 15% now. Another 20% in two years. Another 20% after that." There are 70 million white collar workers in this country. Yang projects 20 to 50% of those jobs gone within a few years. The low end of that is 14 million people. The entire 2008 crisis wiped out 8.7 million. The difference this time is the jobs don't come back. A recession ends and companies rehire. This time the work still gets done. It just gets done by software. The position itself stops existing. Nothing expands margins like replacing a $379K employee with a $200/month subscription. We track it all at layoffhedge.com. 58 companies. 254,000 people. And climbing. Yang is writing about what's coming. We're counting what's already here.

High testosterone "Alpha men": The Honest Truth Have you ever seen Andrew Tate with a high-end sophisticated 10/10 girl? No. Could Andrew ever date a famous highbrow actress such as young Anne Hathaway? No. The Andrew Tate archetype can easily farm hundreds of girls across the globe, but they'll usually max out at 6-7/10- and won't be particularly elegant or interesting. They'll be thr type of girls that many other guys like him could and already did farm. No amount of money would fix this. Redpill men hugely underestimate VIBECHECK. One tall big-dicked aggressive chad could attract 90% of girls, but utterly fail with the other 10%. Another 5'7 average looking but highly artistic guy could fail with 90% of girls, but pull a billionaire heiress with Oxford degree. And neither would score with a math PhD girl. The more tail-end you go, the less effective normie dating strats become. And the more specific quirks can compensate for suboptimal physical stats.

IT-Beratungen? Warum? Weil GPT-5/6, Claude, Grok & Co. das in Stunden erledigen, was 15 Consultants in 6 Monaten für 2 Mio. € machen. Was bleibt?
