So it’s looking like a majority of fans online are calling the Pat McAfee reveal a flop. To be fair, I wasn’t expecting much more from the mystery caller on SmackDown. We knew it wasn’t going to be The Rock. It would’ve been nice, though. Cowboy Bob Orton is probably too old to come back full-time, and Ted DiBiase Jr. would’ve been way too last-minute. The only other direction WWE could’ve gone was Randy Orton talking to himself, which I still think would’ve been the best creative choice. I don’t hate Pat McAfee as the mystery caller, but I’m not exactly jumping for joy either. I get why people see this as underwhelming, if not an outright flop. WWE better have a strong follow up to prove them wrong.
