I followed Cam the final three holes today and was amazed at how much support he was getting. Heard one patron shout “AMERICAN HERO” on 17 tee. Massive roar after he holed the birdie on 16, too. it honestly felt like he was the guy they want to win tomorrow. Ended up asking him if he felt that was the case heading into tomorrow - was surprised by this answer. I really think it won’t be as pro-Rory as he thinks. Between bethpage and the Players, people are really taking to his vibe.
