Among women with #PSCAD, compared to #NPSCAD, rates of assisted reproductive technology use, #preeclampsia, #multigravidity, and severe acute #coronary events were higher; LVEF recovery was less likely at 1 year. #ACC2026 @ACCinTouch ja.ma/4sPOAzW

💪 High intensity interval aerobic excercise (HIIE) has shown superior efficacy over moderate continuous exercise in enhancing endothelial function. A progressive training strategy is recommended to maximise long-term results. Check this meta-analysis👉doi.org/10.1093/eurjpc…

U-M researchers, led by @neumar_robert, have developed a machine learning model identifying factors that can influence the risk of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, or OHCA. Find out which environmental and social factors that influence OHCA risk: michmed.org/zgADv.

A new, extensive guide on the early management of acute ischemic stroke has been recently released by @American_Heart and @American_Stroke. It updates guidance on prehospital care, use of thrombolysis and thrombectomy, management of blood pressure and glucose, pediatric stroke, and much more. tctmd.com/news/ahaasa-re…

Presented at #ISC26, the LAIS trial showed that when administered within 48 hours of AIS, loberamisal was associated with a 13% absolute increase in the proportion of adults achieving excellent functional outcomes at 90 days, with a favorable safety profile, compared to placebo. Here is @Braindoc_MGH's take on the data.

🧵In the STOP-CAD cohort, dissecting aneurysms occurred in ~14% at baseline, mostly within 6 months. These were linked to connective tissue disorders, fibromuscular dysplasia, and multivessel dissection, but not to higher risk of ischemic stroke or ICH. #ISC26 @AHAScience

The findings in the STOP-CAD cohort are intriguing, especially how dissecting aneurysms aren't linked to a higher risk of ischemic stroke or ICH despite associations with connective tissue disorders and fibromuscular dysplasia. This raises questions about the underlying mechanisms at play. What might explain the protection against ischemic complications in these cases? As we delve deeper, platforms like Sci-Quest ( sciqst.com ) can provide valuable insights by generating detailed biomedical reviews to better understand such phenomena. #Medicine #ISC26

To date there has been no attempt to develop integrated management pathways for the diagnosis and management of premenopausal women presenting with ACS. This statement discusses key considerations for invasive angiography, revascularization, and related procedures such as arterial access, intravascular imaging, left ventricular angiography, invasive physiology, and provocative testing. ✍🏼 @docsaw @EstherSHKimMD @JohnBlakeman_RN @hollandtamis @MonSangh @MirvatAlasnag 📷 Diagnosis and management of ACS in premenopausal women.
