@acuriocabinet @Clint_Davey1 Probably not. I don't think there were any real 'hunter gatherers' in the near east in the way we understand them. Food was too plentiful, and domesticated pastoral animals too common.

@Clint_Davey1 There's another theory, which I'm partial to, that the Garden of Eden is just the mythic reinterpretation of hunter gatherer lives (on average they were taller and healthier than your average peasant, or even king).
So the Fall of Eden is just the agricultural revolution.

There's a Biblical theory that I find intriguing, but I'm not convinced of.
It's the idea that the Garden of Eden simply was the entire Fertile Crescent.
