At least 1,100 Palestinian civilians have been killed there since 2020, more than a quarter of them children, according to UN data. There's a lack of trust of the left on the economy - one way to address is to show gov't can save money. Not by cuts to services but on fraud, tax avoidance, private contracts etc. Can still tax rich & borrow to invest but showing we can make savings on these adds credibility.
